July 2017

The longer I am on this circumnavigational sphere, the more I realize that problems are a part of everyone’s life.  I previously mentioned the new finding of cancer in our household and shared that with the Kairos group this weekend.  When split in to prayer groups, represented in our group was cancer, loss of a family member, and horrible problems at work – interpersonal and spilling into family life.  It struck me that as problematic as our particular issue may be, we are no different from someone else – only differences in form.  That being stated, there is only one answer for everyone’s issues – God.

Spouseinbox and I are having quite a summer.   I will skip most details, but tell you like I said at work yesterday – “I’m tying a knot and hanging on.”  Let me back up a bit.  There are two bits of information key to the story.  We work in Kairos prison ministry and I am in charge for this coming fall.  That being the case, it’s up to me to set all the meeting locations, times, and get ready the materials for the education of all volunteers.  I felt the need to add an additional short meeting to the front of the schedule, but only half a day.  Some fussed, but I held my ground as that is what I thought I was supposed to do.  This comes under one of those spiritual things, where you do something as you believe it needs to be done, but have very little to explain that impression.

Next issue is spouseinbox.  My lovely spouse is a cardiac surgery patient from decades ago.  Actually, it had been long enough that we decided to ask about a cardiac specialist to check the area and found one in Big City, Tx.  As specialists go, this one followed suit and requested a bunch of testing to better look at the areas in question.  This involved three trips to Big City to do all the testing requested.  As results returned, the reports were disseminated to the various other specialists according to what was found.  One item noted was a spot on the thyroid.  This was sent to the endocrinologist who wanted a visit.  Of course.  That visit was made and this time the endocrinologist stated he wanted a biopsy of the area.  This was scheduled and we went recently to that procedure.

As this is happening, we are fighting bed bugs in the house, bagging up every piece of cloth to be processed and still preparing for the coming Kairos meetings.  This seems to be like the nursing adage “everything only happens all at once.”  The first meeting for the Kairos was set for this Saturday.  I received a text from spouseinbox saying, “call me!!” and thought, “Oh crap.”  This was not a normal occurrence.  I went to the back window for better reception and to be left alone for a moment.  Spouse inbox said that the endocrinologist called and informed us we were looking at thyroid cancer and the recommended plan was thyroidectomy.  Ike.  Talk about having shakes and emotional state which is hard to describe.  I came away looking through an invisible parka hood.  You remember those from Alaska designed to keep ones face from freezing off?  I leaned on the nurse station and was lost for a bit in what had just been poured on us while other regular daily needs kept coming at their usual pace.

I have a great crew.  They allowed me a minute to start processing and then I tried to get back into the daily routine.  It wasn’t a usual day.  There was a professor many years ago showing two cervical cups utilized for contraception.  The professor asked why the difference in size and stated the larger one was for usage after birth.  “After certain events, there is no going back.”  As I had a moment, I called the surgeon who spouseinbox sees and told them to be ready for the information from the endocrinologist as we would need to schedule a visit.  Not too long later my desk phone rang.  It was the surgeon’s office.  They would definitely see spouseinbox and had an opening this Saturday at 1230.  You know, that is the time I had the meeting scheduled to end.

I started to realize the coincidences involved and let you know God is in charge.  The cancer was found “incidentally” by a scan for a completely different issue and will be checked on a date given by a doctor on the same day as our meetings set up three months ago on a time when we could be free.  It was also discovered in a small enough stage that the survivability odds are really good.  Amazing.  God is.

This is an older article I had left in my draft folder and decided to pull out this morning.

Read here.

Excerpt:  Flynn wasn’t just some target to show off for the deep state, he wasn’t just an example to everyone else.  Flynn represented a threat to them of the greatest caliber.  This wasn’t random.  Michael Flynn has character and knows as much as they do.  This made him their number one threat.

One wouldn’t get this level of observation by watching the MSP  (Main Stream Propagandists) alphabet word readers.  That’s why I like the blogs.

In keeping with the end of the article, I consider and actually believe that Trump has his closest confidants and the MSP don’t really know who they are.  At least I hold that as a hopeful comforting thought.  After all, if the MSP and deep state in this case, can control the inflow of information to Trump, that colors the possible replies he would make.  That makes it much more important for us to have Trump’s information come from other sources.  Population wise, can you think what would be the common mindset if the only information available was what was presented by the MSP?  That’s why I am so comfortable with the blogs.

a certain fact presents itself.  A person from the left side of the political spectrum starts to notice something “odd” and seeks the truth.  That person on accepting the truth moves to the right side of the political spectrum.  “The truth shall set you free.”  I have yet to read the opposite scenario.  There is one not as nice observation, though.  It is only those who seek the truth and are willing to change their ideas accordingly who make that move.  That said, it’s not enough to simply present the truth and expect that political crowd to accept the truth.  The sewer in which they swim is “normal” to their approaches and any fresh water applied would be considered weird and shunned unless, like this individual, truth was sought and accepted.  That is the area of political battle in which the right has participated so poorly.  I have the feeling that we believe that the truth is so easy to grasp and such a freeing concept, it would be ludicrous to not accept, and further we have more important things to do, like taking care of our families and earning a living.  Therefore, those who have no problem enslaving another are those who have managed to entrench themselves in school, media, and government where and toxins are freely spread to the population.  Some cesspools are move obvious than others.  Name off the cities and blame of poverty, etc comes to the forefront.  Philosophically speaking, those cesspools are the making of that mindset over time and its fulfillment.  They are the end product.

The article had a really good point on the mindset which I will enter here:

But for the average Leftist, their sense of self is fundamentally tied to their belief they are a good person because they believe certain things. That belief system is constantly reinforced by their peers and their enemedia intake. Force them to confront a belief founded on flawed information, their very personalities are threatened as you are undermining their view of themselves as “good people”.

He further describes the risks of the leftist confronted with truth and I recommend reading the whole thing.

Let’s see, I:

rode a bike without a helmet.

went to the park by myself.

went swimming by myself.

went door to door sales by myself.

rode my bike along the access road of a freeway.

climbed most of the trees in the back yard.

drank out of a hose.

rode on top of the pews in the back of a truck – I was the ballast.

rode in the trunk of a car.

learned to drive on my uncle’s farm at 14.

worked in a shop with saws, drills, grinder, hand tools, torch, soldering gun.

hatched chicken eggs.

melted lead and made hanging weights.

made black powder and set it off in the back yard.

Learned to shoot a 22 with both sites and 4 power scope.

Somehow, I survived.  Somehow, I think our kids could do the same.

I found this article rather intriguing.  An excerpt:

After their armies had been defeated, their fleets sunk, their cities set aflame, and their home islands invaded, they launched the kamikaze bomber offensive, thereby committing a hi-tech form of hara-kiri, their usual remedy against intolerable shame. It is in this way that the modern Arab world resembles the Japan of World War II. In both cases it is not religions but psychic wounds, the wounds inflicted by defeat and evident inferiority, that inspire suicide bombers.

Also noted is the usage of women:

Arab men eradicate shame and bolster their shaky self-esteem by imposing the shameful qualities of the dhimmi, submission and passivity, upon women. Trailing a humbled woman behind them, Arab men can walk the walk of the true macho man.

Another observation:

Alternatively, it might be argued, that Islam takes root and grows best when it is in the toxic nutrients of Arab-shame/honor cultures.

I would ask if that has some impetus in the cultures of prison.

***I was informed the link was missing.  Here is the missing information. While I was perusing the article again, I decided to add another quote:

While psychological health and self-esteem depend to some extent on overcoming shame and progressing to a level where taking responsibility for one’s actions and accepting that there is an objective truth out there that is not determined by other people’s opinions; both shame and guilt can be important reality checks to an individual–or to a culture.

I note the presence of the term “objective truth” and remembered that in the Bible, book of John, there is a sentence “the truth shall set you free.”  That refers to this objective truth, not the whim of a present culture or wish.  On another post, I note that there are leftists who go to the right side of the political aisle.  In every case, a recognition of truth and desire for it were the impetus.  When a group cannot stand for recognition of truth, you know where they are positioned.  This applies to groups whether cultural, religious, or political.

I was reading here, and the insanity was so thick I had to take a couple days to produce a calmer screed.  Let’s be simple and real for a moment.  There used to be a picture of a couple of toddlers looking into their diapers and the caption read, “there is a difference.”  I’m a nurse.  I’m here to tell you there is a difference.  There are many differences.  There are differences according to what the cells do directed by their genetic formulations and that has NOTHING to do with the physical appearance of the individual.  A male has testosterone which is working in the embryo to alter the formulation of the developing baby.  Yes, testosterone is working that early.  The formation of the circuits in the brain are different according to the presence or absence of testosterone.  There is nothing a surgeon can do later in life to alter the paths which are designed by God in the womb.  Certainly, a neurosurgeon can cut the corpus callosum to reduce the effects of seizures, but those pathways were placed there and are still present, though afterwards unusuable by the stray neurosignals.  Medications are processed according to the presence of enzymes in the body and guess what – men and women are different.  My guess is that if you are reading this here, that’s not a shock to you.  That concept is anathema to those who wish to harm culture, though.

I linked to a really good video the other day.  One part of the argument was how there are almost an infinite number of decisions available.  In contrast, there are a very few which allow the constraints of survival for the individual and the culture.  If you haven’t watched the video, please take the time.  That argument is applicable here.  There are an infinite number of possible genders available as that is a construct of whatever the individual says it is.  There is a small finite number of sexes which has served humanity well for millennia.

When the armed forces adopt this kind of lunacy, the ability of the forces is harmed.  A fighting force needs to be able to have members count on each other for their lives.  Period.  There is a closeness in the foxhole not known anywhere else.  Personally, I think the addition to women in combat and the addition of this sexual lunacy was to inhibit that comradary so essential to the group.  Note that all the male soldier has to do is alter his DEERS and immediately his requirements become that of a female – less.  In this case, the military actually admits that the men have a higher physical requirement than the females.  That is natural because the body structure of the male and female is different.  Period.  This allows some guy to adopt the requirements of a female while sitting with his male counterparts.  How well does that go in the foxhole?  He no longer has to carry his weight because all he is required to do is carry her weight.  See the destruction in this social policy?  The military can’t remove it fast enough for me.

This doesn’t even get to the mixing of sexes in the bathroom.  Abhorrent.  Period.  Toddlers know there is a difference.  It takes fully grown idiots to pretend otherwise.
