In my Bible reading, I am going through 2 Chronicles presently.  There was a decent king named Jehoshaphat in chapter 19 who set up judges through Israel  and charged them, “And said to the judges, Take heed what ye do: for ye judge not for man, but for the Lord, who is with you in the judgement.  Wherefore now let the fear of the Lord be upon you; take heed and do it: for there is no iniquity with the Lord our God, nor respect of persons, nor taking of gifts.”  What struck me was the very last phrase of this.  While the judges were placed in position with authority to pass judgement on the people of Israel, they had to be reminded that they were in the position of God and not allow themselves to be bribed.  Somehow I see this admonition as a bit higher than our present appeal to the law.  This one was an appeal to judgement of God.  We presently view the law as the utmost authority in this country – when it is followed, and recognize that the law can be changed by actions of the legislature.  The appeal here is to the One for whom no change is possible, and truth is absolute.  For Jehoshaphat to charge them this way tells me that bribery was present 4000 years ago.

I have been spending time in Psalms and Proverbs.  Those two books have quite a bit of wisdom packed.  This morning, I found two verses.  Compare Proverbs 5:19 to 6:2.

Every man also to whom God hath given riches and wealth, and hath given him power to eat thereof, and to take his portion, and to rejoice in his labour; this is the gift of God.

A man to whom God hath given riches, wealth, and honour, so that he wanteth nothing for his soul of all that he desireth, yet God giveth him not power to eat thereof, but a  stranger eateth it; this is vanity, and it is an evil disease.

I just struck me the area in which a person was to rejoice was receiving the results of his own labor and an evil disease was a stranger receiving it.  This goes to the heart of socialism.  Removing the results of a person’s labor to give it to someone else is an evil disease.

In my morning Bible reading, I have lately been reading through Job.  For those uninitiated, this is a book in the Old Testament, in one place argued as the oldest book of the Bible.  The start of the book presents the plot that in heaven, Satan presents himself to God and charges that Job only follows God because of all the good that God has done to him.  God allows Satan to remove everything.  This includes children, livestock, servants and he is left with his wife who advises “curse God and die.”  Satan comes back to God and says that Job is still righteous because he is untouched.  God says go ahead, just don’t kill him.  Job gets covered with boils and sits in ashes scratching them.  At this point in the story, “friends” arrive to be with him.  He is in such a state that they sit silent for 7 days, after which, each of the “friends” tries to reason with Job about his sin.  They don’t state what the sin was, just that he must have sinned for such evil to befall.  Job maintains his innocence.

As surely as God lives, who has denied me justice,
the Almighty, who has made my life bitter,
as long as I have life within me,
the breath of God in my nostrils,
my lips will not say anything wicked,
and my tongue will not utter lies.
I will never admit you are in the right;
till I die, I will not deny my integrity.

I was reading this and it struck me the parallels between this written 5000 years ago, and now.  The MSP with entertainment and educational institutions try to convince us that we are not who we are.  By not backing homosexual agenda, I am “homophobic”, even though that description on proper definition is entirely false.  By accepting the Constitution as it reads and being responsible for my own safety, I am “bitterly clinging to my…”  even though “bitter” is not even in the ballpark of my emotional state.  By working, planning and saving for retirement, not overspending, and only paying my assigned taxes, i am stealing from others.  I am a threat to others when I believe genital groping at the airport is an affront to my person and a violation of the 4th amendment.  The modern conservative, Christian, and gun owner is playing the part of Job with the media, politicians, and educators being the three “friends” trying to convince us that we are wrong, or have committed sin by living our lives correctly, following the rules.  I will stand with Job against such arguments and maintain my innocence against the modern establishment which has become a soft Marixism – trying to pit one group against another to stir an uprising.  Their only existence can be in lies and falsehood as the truth would deny them the power they seek.
I will maintain my innocence and never let go of it;
my conscience will not reproach me as long as I live.

Isaiah 9: For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Of the greatness of his government and peace there will be no end.
He will reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it
with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever.
The zeal of the Lord Almighty will accomplish this.

Considering the “kingdom”:

John 18:

36 Jesus said, “My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jewish leaders. But now my kingdom is from another place.”

37 “You are a king, then!” said Pilate.

Jesus answered, “You say that I am a king. In fact, the reason I was born and came into the world is to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me.”

For readers of Revelation consider the following:

Two weeks ago, the Turkish government has cut off the flow of the Euphrates to Syria and Iraq after reducing its flow over the past month and a half.

The really scary thing is that it would feed right into end time prophecy if one believes the empire of the Antichrist is an Islamic caliphate and the recreation of the Ottoman Empire. In fact,Revelations 16:12 states:

The sixth angel poured his bowl on the great Euphrates River. Its water was dried up to prepare the way for the kings from the east.

According to Rabbi Daniel Lapin, “from the East” is a term denoting evil, not a geographic direction. While he was at the time speaking about Genesis, the Book of Revelations is a key that combines with prophecy throughout the Old Testament to describe the end times. Cutting off the Euphrates weakens Syria and Iraq, making them easier targets for invasion and making some sort of retaliation likely if not certain.

I have been spending time in Proverbs lately. Actually reading and rereading it several times. There are bunches of “stuff” there in the wisdom category and one item in particular I have not managed to wrap my head around. The verse is Proverbs 17:6 – “Children’s children are the crown of old men; and the glory of children are their fathers.” I noted the glaring unmentioned item – mom, and had to stop and wonder why there was no mention of mom. She was the one through whom the child entered the world and the one who fed the child until a time when said child was able to eat on their own. But there was no mention. I am mentally scratching my head. Normally, in such a predicament, I consider the application if the simple wording doesn’t make sense and we have a country full of feral blacks announcing the application of this verse in the opposite. What occurs when the glory is removed from children? The children run wild forming packs having a structure designed to provide that family not received in the correct form. Violence perpetrated against each other and against others not of their group for that reason alone. We had a prison ministry meeting yesterday and in discussion was mention of an inmate who started by killing around the age of 10 murder being the price of entry to a gang. That is the behavior of tribes, not civilized men. How does one get civilized? by seeing the behavior of fathers. By being corrected in behavior by those in authority until correct behavior is emulated. Lack of fathers removes this check on the behavior of young and we see the results. How can the boys ever be men without an example of the correct behavior to follow? How can the women know correct treatment without experiencing it from their fathers first? Removal of the crown does have an effect.
By the way: here is the video of black girls bullying a 3 year old white girl and the interview with the fathers involved. Note the difference when dads enter the situation. I previously saw the video without the interviews and am glad to find this clip.

I was reading in Jeremiah this morning and found the following in chapter 2: 11 Hath a nation changed their gods, which are yet no gods? but my people have changed their glory for that which doth not profit.

I want to note that the founding of this country was birthed in the desire for Christianity to have a free place of worship.  Business men chimed in with agreements and financing which provided the means of transport for this nation’s founding.  The founders then established freedom of religion and utilized their resources in the government in a religious fashion.  I refer to the capital being the chapel and having church there every Sunday.

Significantly, the Capitol building had been used as a church even for years before it was occupied by Congress. The cornerstone for the Capitol had been laid on September 18, 1793; two years later while still under construction, the July 2, 1795, Federal Orrerynewspaper of Boston reported:

City of Washington, June 19. It is with much pleasure that we discover the rising consequence of our infant city. Public worship is now regularly administered at the Capitol, every Sunday morning, at 11 o’clock by the Reverend Mr. Ralph. 2

The reason for the original use of the Capitol as a church might initially be explained by the fact that there were no churches in the city at that time. Even a decade later in 1803, U. S. Senator John Quincy Adams confirmed: “There is no church of any denomination in this city.” 3 The absence of churches in Washington eventually changed, however. As one Washington citizen reported: “For several years after the seat of government was fixed at Washington, there were but two small [wooden] churches. . . . Now, in 1837 there are 22 churches of brick or stone.” 4 Yet, even after churches began proliferating across the city, religious services still continued at the Capitol until well after the Civil War and Reconstruction.

I found this interesting when I first heard the history, but it makes sense when considering the Founding Fathers and their study of the Bible and note that there was no denomination indicating the true intention of the 1st amendment.  There was never the desire to remove Christians from the governmental square.  That was added later when the push against Christianity began.  How can I say there is a push against Christianity?  Consider California.  Since the incorrect interpretation of separation of church and state was instituted, the state of California has decided to allow then require students to learn islam.  Note that when the “religion” is a totalitarian tribal doctrine, it is all right to force in the classroom.  When it is Christianity, it is forbidden.  I am simply making observations and interpreting what I see.

Further into the chapter of Jeremiah 2:28, 29:  But where are thy gods that thou has made thee?  let them arise, if they can save thee in the time of thy trouble: for according to the number of thy cities are thy gods, O Judah.  Wherefore will ye plead with me?  ye all have transgressed against me, saith the Lord.

The blessing of the Lord will not stay with the nation turning their back on Him.  We cannot as a nation accept macroevolution and state there is no god without consequence.  The philosophy macroevolution allows leads to infanticide and euthanasia.  After all, if a person isn’t made in God’s image, then the person is nothing different than an animal to be treated in the same fashion or removed if inconvenient.  Saying God has nothing to do with this nation allows the philosophy contrary to the founders to take hold the provide the destruction we are witnessing presently.  Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.  This truly is a battle of ideas, and I am calling it as I see it.
